Sonic trotted into the room and sighed as he looked Knuckles over. The echidna was still asleep, but he looked rather tense, as if anxious of something. Sonic hesitated, the walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, hey, Knux!" He said softly, trying to shake him awake.

Indigo tell me something, why did you want to do something so stupid, Kini asked.

Ajal watched Sonic and Knuckles.

Indigo continued staring at Aether. His hand dropped from his shoulder.

Aether glared at Indigo. 'Hmph. Don't know why you'd be surprised,' he snarled. 'You don't deserve it.'

Okay question two. What was with the silver blood, Kini asked.

Aether continued glaring at Indigo. 'That also has to do with the 'opposites' thing. The soul-bond between me and Indigo is stronger than him and Cobalt, and as a result, when he suffers my injuries, he bleeds the same way.' His mouth twisted into a cruel sneer. 'Want an example?'

Why did Indigos eye bleed when Colbalts eye accidently broke, Kini asked, by the way sorry about that Colbalt.

Knuckles stirred at the prompt, then glanced up at Sonic through half-open eyes after a moment. "...Huh...Sonic...why're--"
"Are you okay?" The hedgehog cut him off.
"....Yeeeah?" Knuckles replied.
"You sure? I think you were dreaming again?"
Knuckles hesitated. "Mm. Nothing unusual given the circumstances, hedgehog." He mummbled, brushing the hand off his shoulder.

'That wasn't an accident.' Aether said.

Why would he break his own eye, Kini asked.


You sure? Ajal looked at Knuckles with concern.

'Cobalt didn't break his own eye. How about you ask Indigo to provide that answer?' he kicked at Indigo, barely missing.
