Pheonix responded with a few short whistles, though not in any particular melody or pattern.

(Impressive but he must drive you nuts with it.)

Marcos smiles and repteats the tune.

(Not really, actually. He whistles when he plays with me, but also to let me know if something's bothering him, and I much prefer it over him screaming. Remember how I said he's a big bird in a little package? He makes big bird noises, too.)

Pheonix continued to whistle along.

(Good to know they whistle when happy or upset and scream when annoyed and alarmed.)

Marcos eventually lets the bird whistle on his own.

(Well, mine does. I can't speak for other parrots.)

Pheonix's tune was far from rythmic, though the whistles thenselves were sharp and clear.

Pheonix eventually stopped whistling, idly looking around the clearing.

"Port," Marcos holds out a hand to Pheniox.

Pheonix swooped down and alighted on Marco's outstretched arm, standing contently on one foot and feathers ruffling up.

"Que," Marcos asks the bird.
"What's wrong Pheniox," Nathanial asks.
