Kit sighed, she swooped down and landed near her fuming daughter, "What happened?" Val huffed, "Bad morning." she growled.

Ghost shifted to his true form and stood poised on the next pillar over. "Ah, yes. We all have those days. I'm dead and I still have them."

Val huffed, "Shadow and Sonic were being annoying and I slightly snapped."

"Slightly." Knuckles dryly repeated. "Knowing them, they were more then slightly annoying."

Val nodded, "No kidding, and Shadow wasn't one to help at all."

"Never was." Knuckles agreed.

Val sighed, "And my fur went stiff again, and now my fur looks like Shadow's quills."

"All things considered, There are worse things your fur could look like." Knuckles said simply. "Right Kit?"

Kit let out a huff, "Don't." she simply growled, Val smirked and wondered what kind of style her mother had her fur in."

"And on that day, You truly earned the nickname Cockatoo." Knuckles dramatically remarked with a light chuckle.
