His eyes where shut and his head was ducked to hide his horns and hair so he didn't see,but he heard the sound of the horses hooves and was able to take in it's location and estimated size of the beast,someone riding it.

The hunter stopped right next to them, but an excited howl of one of the dogs rang through the air, and he spurred his horse onward, following the hunt into the trees. In a moment, the sounds had faded. Silence fell through the branches, and they were alone.

Jason let out the breath he had been holding and his scales burst into white,sick green and shuttering teal in ripples and waves as he fell back on his rump and shivered slightly,shaking his head. "Haven't done that that long...at once." Was all he said softly.

Ash shook his head. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have let you do that. I'm sure we could have found someplace to hide."

Well," someone said, very close by. "That was interesting." There seemed to be nothing but leaves, branches, and trees, along with sickly gray light shining through the branches.

Jason jumped to a stand rapidly at the voice,looking around with spread wings and a defensive tail.

Ash chuckled at his reaction. "I am not hiding, boy." The voice sounded amused. "Perhaps...if you open your eyes a bit wider. Like this." Directly in front of him, not five feet away, a pair of saucer-like eyes opened up out of nowhere, and he stared into the face of an enormous gray cat. "There," it purred, regarding him with a lazy yellow gaze. It's fur was long and wispy, blending perfectly into the tree and the entire landscape. "See me now?"

Jason looked at the creature,his tail lowering and wings folding in tightly,but as his scales shifted to their normal colors his freckle scales where white and lavender. He gave a soft nod,trying not to pass out from all the action.

The feline rose, arching it's back before sitting and curling its plumes tail around its legs. "You okay?" Ash asked Jason

Jason put his head down a bit,nodding. "Yeah..." He sounded slightly shocked that Ash cared,but only his freckle scales showed a bright yellow and pink swirling like butterflies fluttering about.

"Dragon," the large grey cat said, and if a cat could sound patronizing, this one nailed it, "I was resting in my tree, minding my own business and wondering if I should hunt today, when you two come flying in like a bean sidhe and scare off every bird for miles around. I am aware that dragons are rude and barbaric, but still."
