"Rei!" I call jumping up like and excited puppy

Rei growls, weakly swimming up to the land and crawling onto it before falling on his side, panting. He had been hurt by the waterfalls force, he hadn't gone down enough.

"just sore muscles you will be okay," I said touching his muscles gently and where the impact happened

He shifts, gasping in air and coughing up water. He sits upright, "Never doing that," He coughs, "Again!"

I laugh "are you alright?" I ask looking at him cocking my head to the side.

He glares at her, "Clearly not!" He snaps, slowly standing and shifting. His tiger stumbles a bit before finding it's footing. He growls at her before running over to a large pile of rocks that end at the top of a grassy hill. He scrambles up, hoisting himself up onto the hill and running off.

"Rei!" I call after him confused at his sudden outburst "What did I do?" I asked

He shifts back once near the prey pile, seeing Trace, Cole, and Clare already eating. Cole stops, shifting so he can speak. "Thanks dad!" He shifts back, going back to eating a buck with Clare.

I shrug and sit in the lotus position breathing deeply to calm down.
