His eyebrows shot up. "Kestrel?"

"Dustin," she repeated, standing up, her laughter dying down. "Marina, you didn't tell me that it was gonna be him!"

Marina blinked, confused. "You didn't want to know-"

"Whatever." Kestrel waved her off, throwing an arms around Dustin's shoulder instead. "Hello again Bestie. How many years has it been?"

"Uh..." He paused. "Three?" He said, hugging her back

"Right, when we got lost in the woods." She chuckled.

Marina looked extremely confused but sighed. "Well, I guess you two know each other. As for your 'lost in the woods' story... write a song or something. I don't even want to hear it." She walked off.

Kestrel rolled her eyes. "We should probably follow her. Also, just a note- you only need to press the elevator button once for it to come."

He put his hand on the back of his neck. "Oh, you saw that? Well, I was in a hurry, so...yeah."

"It's pretty hard to miss a guy in a cowboy hat sprint through a pristine lobby to the elevator." She nodded. "Hearst's track team would have been proud, considering how slow your team was."

"That's only because I don't do track. If I did, we would've won every event."

"Riiight." She rolled her eyes. "I can't believe we get to sing together though! Like, you're actually famous. I mean, I am too, but like- we're both famous!"

"I know right? I mean, when k started I never thought I would ever be famous! And yet here I am!"

"So. The songwriters wrote for us, and I'm singing some of my songs too, but we have a duet. It's going to require a lot of practice." She spoke and walked at the same time, and soon they were outside. "My trailer is that one-" She pointed, then turned and pointed to another one. "That one is yours. We each have a driver, obviously."
