I ambled through the Emerald hued woodland, my entire body weary from my recent travels. All I knew is that I had to get out of that place, that wretched place that I once called home. Mother's harsh words seamlessly cascading over my entire body, burying my senses.

"You're an abomination"
"There's no place for you in our village"
"You should never have been born"

These words repeated over and over, driving me mad.
Though weak, I trotted on endlessly for what seemed like hours with no certain destination in mind yet I felt as if I knew where I was going. I continued through the forest before I heard a raspy yelp from a distance. I swiftly whirled around, my mind suddenly alert.

I thought "What the hell was that? Is somebody following me? I must be at least 20 miles from the village now, there's no way that they could have tracked me down like this "

There it was again.

Curious as to what it was, I followed the noise until I came upon a vast cluster of bushes and trees. I anxiously came upon a slight opening, just large enough for me to fit inside. I slipped inside, unaware of what I was about to discover.

It was a bird like creature, it's cerulean and achromatic feathers draped over its body in such elegance that I could not produce a single sound. Its alluring eyes shifted onto me. I could tell it was in need of assistance, it seemed so helpless sprawled out on the forest floor in such a manner, its feathers disarranged and ruffled. Unaware if it could speak I called out,

"Oh my god, w-what are you doing here! Are you okay?"

I stuttered, still surprised that I found this magnificent beast in the first place. It once again let out a raspy whine, but this time it came along with the sound of clanking metal chains. I sprinted towards the creature to help release it from its entrapment. A sudden worry washed over me,

"What if whatever put it here comes back? I need to move quickly, and with no distractions.".

The rusty metal chains were easily shattered on a nearby stone, the creature immediately jumped up and began to scamper about the small clearing, most likely searching for a way out. I kept my distance, still not knowing what it may have been capable of now that it wasn't confined to any form of shackles. It's face poked out into a somewhat large opening, it turned towards me and let out a content chirp, then it disappeared, never to be seen again.

Welp, I would write more but I feel as if I should try and make this short. I am in no way a writer and am quite sorry if there are any typos/grammar mistakes in which I didn't catch. I hope you like it though! I put my best effort into it <3

I was wondering through the forest on a dark, cool night; when suddenly a faint whimpering was heard through the dense trees. I followed the sound to find a hurt this hurt slyesti. I inch closer and try to spot the wound causing her pain. She looks terrified, but makes no move as to try and escape or show a threat. I get right infront of her and see a deep gash on her back, covered by her glowing wings. I reached my hand out to pet her, to my surprise she nuzzled my hand. I pull out some gauze from my bag and wrap the wound. Once I was done, she got up and nuzzled me to show her appreciation. From that point on she had been by my side... as my loyal friend.
