"O..Okay.." Amelia reluctantly accepted and snuggled into her sleeping bag. She listened to the sounds of the hushed birds. She closed her eyes, her feet aching, her head hurting. She listened to the sound of the blood rushing through her ears. The thought of going to the next town felt a long way off, but going through the sewers with Omid also felt like it was a million years ago.

The man reached into his bag between bites. He pulled out a small string instrument and pulled on the strings. Sure he only knew one song from his many travels but it was soothing nonetheless. "So I'll tell you a tale of stories of old..." He sung to the tune. "Nothing but riches and liars did hold. A time of robbery, and time fill greed. And now all the scum blows away with the breeze." He smiled to himself for a moment happy with his little song. No words left to say he simply strung the notes to the song hoping to ease the tension.

Amelia smiled at his little song. She finally drifted to sleep, of course right into nightmares. She was in a cloud of dust, her old group lying dead in front of her. Lucas, Claire, Hebe, Azar, and lastly, Bered. They all lie dead in the ash. Why, why did Bered have to die.. We could have lived together.. We could have made a new life, we could have done everything.. she cried silently. Her fiance had died because of her careless actions. Amelia jerked awake, tear streaming from her face.

"Shh, easy now." Zac said hugging her close. "It was just a bad dream...it's alright now." He rocked the girl from where he sat on the cot. "Your safe now, there's no need to worry."
He had left her that ******! Pam growled angry at Zac, he had went back on his promise! Angry the girl cursed stomping about her cell. There was no way he could hear her, he was too busy drooling over Amelia. Love a nasty thing. With that she search for a way to get out of the bunker completely. There was a vent and a window. Window first then try the vent if that failed. Well the window was a almost fail, it didn't actually lead outside, no it was more of a peep hole for someone to watch the people inside the rooms. Nasty.... A door led her the rest of the way out into the open. It was still dark out, oh well. She would have a few hours to her self at least.

"If you want." He smiled standing with her. "I can stay up with you if you want." He offered with a smile.
The streets seemed quiet at night it was peaceful even. Pam smiled as she stuck her hands deep in her pockets. Too bad Zac wasn't here. That's when she heard the screaming. It was human though faint, dying no doubt. The girl quickened her pace reaching the woman's side just as she killed the zombie. Dust covered her causing her to cough more than she would have normally. Blood filled her mouth as she slowly died. Pam kneeled next to her. The woman attempted to speak but died before she could. Her hand was outstretched though to a woven basket. Naturally Pam was curious now even more so. After mercying the woman she turned to the basket and opened it. Inside was an infant not much older than a day maybe two? And that was its mother, dead now as well. Sad. She couldn't leave it yet she was no parent...maybe Amelia could take care of it. Now toting the basket Pam made her way back the whole time thinking of names. "Samantha...Our little Sammy."

Amelia walked over to a chair and sat down,"You should sleep." she told him. Her mind was still on Bered. They were to young. Their lives lied ahead of them, and I let those zombies slip through. I won't let that happen this time. she vowed. Jo looked up, seeing the door of Pam's room open,"Pam?"

She had slipped through just as the door opened the basket being left behind in the window. "Zac?" She asked the door opening. "You lied Zac..."
"I know and I'm sorry." Zac said apologizing. "Pam..." He growled seeing the blood and ash on her shirt. "You slipped out didn't you?" Pam lowered her head in shame. "What did you find this time? A kitten? A puppy?" The girl refused to answer until the baby cooked some. "God Pam!"
"What was I supposed to do? Leave her out to die?!"
