Marcurio pulled away from him yowling like a cat. "Let's just..." His hands growled again as he cast a spell of numbness. "There...now do as you wish...."

Ase glanced up at the trees, scanning them. "I don't like this, I feel we are being watched. Can we get going?"

Anton pulled his dagger from his sheath and turned to Ase. "Let me finish this really fast. We won't be able to move far anyway. Could you scorch this? I need it to be clean," he asked her, holding out the blade of his dagger.

Layla smiled slightly at the girl's on spot intuition as continued to wait.

Ase kept watching as her palm caught fire. "Here, just hurry please. I don't feel safe here." Her tail twitched and every little movement made her jumpy. Her ears laid back and her whiskers tingled with anticipation.

"Hey, it'll be fine," Anton assured Ase. He took a bottle of water and dumped part of it on the knife, so it would cool at least a bit. He gently stuck the dagger into Marcurio's wound, using it to work the arrow free. He finally managed to do so, and threw the arrow to the side. He used the dagger to tear off both sleeves of his shirt, fashioning it into a makeshift bandage. "I don't know much about closing the wound," he said to Marcurio apologetically.

"It will be fine like that. If it doesn't heal on its own I will see about using magic to do it for me." Marcurio said ending the spell. "I will have to say though that this is the first time I have ever been shot, and it's not something I would choose to do again."

Anton nodded. "Tell me if it gets worse. Are you alright with walking?" he asked, wiping his blade on the grass and sheathing it. He repacked his bag and stood up.

(Layla's still being a stalker in the trees. XD)

"I'm fine, lets continue on shall we?" Marcurio said with a weak smile. "After all it's just a flesh wound." He chuckled some wincing a bit.

Ase nodded and led them still on alert.

"Don't push yourself too hard," Anton warned Marcurio. He hurried after the two. "Ase, is what you thought was watching us earlier still here?" he asked, noticing Ase still looked on edge.

Layla waited until they were a ways ahead of her before leaping through the trees after them. She had bare feet and long green pants with a black tunic.

Ase nodded her hair standing on end. "I think it's following us..." She growled. She wanted to hide, to get out of the view of the creature.

Marcurio looked up. "I'm fine, but I'll be sore for awhile. Shall we get off the road then?"

Anton looked around. "The forest might be more dangerous. We won't be able to see what's coming," he pointed out. "Or you could just set the whole forest on fire," he said, trying to lighten the mood a tad bit.
