Orion pretended to sleep on the couch. He listened to the conversation. Everyone here had a tragic past it seemed like. Even him.


"He's sleeping. Yasa... I wan't to tell you something. Nobody knows this, but I killed... my brother. Not on purpose. But it was my fault all the same. I was a coward. He was attacked by a monster. Instead of helping him, I ran. When I finally gathered the courage to come back, he was almost dead. I tried to get him to the hospital, but he died in my arms. It was my fault. Sorry fo heaping my troubles on you," she broke off as a single tear trickled down her cheek.

Kat: she storms out of her room. in her hand is an old book. she slams the door behind her.

Yasa: he sees Kat leave with The Book. "NO! Kat dont do this!" he tries to stand, but cant. "Stop her before she gets to the Graveyard! she is to powerful to do this!"

Kat: she walks fast. she flips the pages as she goes. she stops at the gate to the cemetery. she kneels. "oath now is the time to rise my fallen!" she chats "come forth to me thy brother of Lark! from your grave you shall rise and be whole again!" she falls to the ground. from one of the graves a hand appears. " Yasa is not going to be happy about this, but Lark might." kat drags herself to her feet. she grabs The Book. " hello again old friend."

Yasa: "oh no. she is going to bring your brother back, Lark. you should go and find her."







(hopefully this is Larks brothers grave. Kat is a magician, and a very powerful one at that. she can shape shift and all sorts of magic.)

Lark runs out the door toward the edge of town. When she nears the graveyard she yells "Stop! Don't! Please stop Kat!" she reaches the graveyard and grabs Kat's arm. "Don't, please! You've already done enough for me!' She grabs the book and yanks it from Kat's hand.

Kat: "it's too late. the magic is already used, as is my energy." she collapses to the ground.

Yasa: "oh Kat what have you done?!"

Lark puts the book down and drags Kat to the stone wall around the graveyard, leaning her up against the stones. She picks up the book and is about to put it on the wall, but instead, she opens it. "A magic book?" she says out loud. The book was filled with magic spells. Including one to raise the dead which Kat had been using. "What was she thinking?" Lark puts the book back one the wall and is about to pick up Kat to bring her back to the house when she hears a noise. She turns to see a human hand groping around out of the ground from one of the graves. "She did it. She actually did it!" cries Lark. She stands at the wall, frozen in place. "What if she killed herself performing this spell? Why did I tell her about my brother? Why did I have to heap my troubles on them?"

(Will the person need help getting out of the grave?)

(he may need help, it all depends on age. if he is 9 he may need help but if he is 12 he can get out on his own.)

Kat: her eyes flutter open. "i did it." she whispers to herself."another one down. how many does that make?" she thinks for a moment. "45. that's right."

"Kat, why did you do that?" Lark asks softly, kneeling beside Kat.

Kat: " because he needs you." she stares at the standing girl. " how did you get Yasa to tell you his past?"
