As the level of ice chips dwindles, Sastrugi begins to snack on the cone of ice that they're contained in as well. When the others have finished as well, the princess turns back the way they came, eyes locking onto the pale light staining the clouds over the arena.
"Would you like to participate in the main games?" she asks. "Unarmed combat. The contenders are already narrowed down to the top participants, but, well, they'll find you a slot." Even if she doesn't ask, Tiamat's appearance alone is evidence of his strength. He's huge.

Sastrugi takes toward the skies, soaring back towards the arena on glittering wings. They pass by the gathered crowds and slip into the preparation area.
"We have a visitor," she tells the organizer. "Would it be possible for him to participate?"
An exasperated wrinkled appears between the older IceWing brows before they catch a glimpse of Tiamat and pause. "You can show in the starter round," they say, having inspected the SeaWing and found him worthy. "You can continue as long as you're still winning."

Sastrugi tips her head towards the entrance of the arena, where a large stage has been dug into the ice and snow. "Off you go then," she says, something excited in the curve of her smile. "I'll be with the rest of my family, waiting for your success."
Of course, it's no big deal if Tiamat loses in the first few rounds. These are the best of the best after all, and the beginnings of the friendship between them are worth more than glory.

Sastrugi arrives at the center stands, reserved those ranking among the first circle. At the front lays the seats of the royal family, and she enters with a respectful greeting to her mother before her way towards her own at one of the edges. A sweep of her wing invites Hakaishin to sit beside her.
It doesn't take long for Gyrfalcon to notice the SeaWing absent from their side, and the First Princess tilts her head with a curious glint to her eyes. "Is your friend participating in the Solstice Celebrations?" she inquires.
Meanwhile, the event organizers have led Tiamat to edge of the arena, where he is asked to wait. It doesn't take long for the signal to enter to be given, following which an announcement rings through the snow-ladden air.
"Introducing Tiamat! A guest to the Kingdom of Ice."
Moments later, a muscular IceWing teen emerges from the other side, though the size disparity between her and Tiamat is clear to see. The same voice calls out.
"Introducing Skua! Ranked 3rd in the adolescent standings!"

Hakaishin grinned and watched the arena, excited.
Tiamat grinned and went onto his hind legs and spreading his wings. His wings and body began to glow in bright patterns. An intimidation display. Then he raised and hand and said, *may the best dragon win.*

The dragoness nods before spinning into motion at the referee's signal. She leaps, serrated claws flashing upward in cold arcs of light for Tiamat's eyes, revealed to be a feint as a quick adjustment of her wings sends her plummeting to slide across the ice, reaching out to grasp him in a throw.

Tiamat slammed on all fours, braced, and then sprang at her, catching her mid jump, shooting into the air, grabbing her and hoisting her onto his shoulders, and then falling down, slamming her into the ground, suplex style.
And no other dragon had ever done a suplex before - at least, not like this.
Hakaishin grinned. *I taught him that. I suplexed a deer to teach him.*
Tiamat grinnef and hopped off the female, lights flashing in an intimidation display.
