Ah, food. Well, if Alexis has a way to keep the meat from spoiling, then Kavaratti certainly wouldn't mind a bit of variety. It's simply a matter of getting it on board. He peers down, eventually settling on the fact that they'll have to lug it up together.
Hearing Alexis's words though, Kavaratti realizes that his reaction has been misunderstood. "No," he says, "you're welcome to come with me, as you always have been." He picks the first layer of items off the wagon. "And you're welcome to bring whatever you need as well. Let's get everything loaded."

Alexis looked up with a big smile and hauled the boar on board (I love puns) and the boat groaned a bit at the weight. She hopped off and began loading up more of their things, smiling.

(Ooh, that's a unique pun we got there haha :D)
With two pairs of hands, it's not long before everything is loaded.
Kavaratti unties the mooring line and pushes the boat off. He steps into the water, dark and uninviting on the moonless night, and reaches a hand up towards Alexis in a silent request.

Alexis looked over at the village before smirking and flipping it the bird before smiling over at him and taking his hand, grinning. *thank you. Thank you for setting us free.* she said happily, watching the skyline as the bait floated away from the island.
(They better kiss later in a moment like this or I swear to god)

(Yes, it's the perfect setting for a romantic moment ahh)
Laughter shines in Kavaratti's eyes at the motion. It's well-deserved, he thinks, having seen what they've been doing to Alexis for the past few days, the past few years. He heaves himself upward with the support she gives until he gets a hand around the rails and pulls himself over.
"I just provided the boat," he says, the hint of a smile dancing on his lips. "The one setting yourself free was all you."
And it's wonderful, being out on the sea like this. The wind dances in his hair, and the water clings to his clothes, and Kavaratti doesn't care, couldn't care, about anything else. It's freeing.
The sound of a low, rumbling call echos in the distance, and his mouth curves in the smallest of smiles.
"There's someone I want to introduce you to," Kavaratti says. "I know you're used to dragon raids, but she's different, even if I don't know why."
Blue scales break through the sea with a rain of brine at his words, and large, dark eyes meet Alexis's. "This is Spillage," Kavaratti says. "Spillage, meet Alexis. We're going to be sailing home together."

Alexis smiled at Kavaratti, overjoyed. When he mentioned introducing her to someone, she grew curious. But when the Scauldron rose from the water, she froze in terror before crouching a bit as Ember took over. However, Ember wasnt hostile. Cautious, yes, but not hostile. She tilted her head, curious. *. . . A fitting name. How long have you two known each other?* Ember asked in that guttural voice of hers.
Well, shes not attacking. Thats a good sign.

Kavaratti knows he should have mentioned this earlier. However, knowing that the pod didn't usually return until the weather warmed, he figured that he'd have more time. Time enough to sail back, time enough to offer Alexis the choice of whether or not she'd wanted to met Spillage.
As it is, when Ember asks, he answers. "A little under a year and a half," he says. Knowing it's not a long time, he adds, "I got injured, before, and she visited me during it."

"I was sailing," Kavaratti says, "Clear blue skies and beautiful seas. And then, something rose out of the water--a squaldron."
He shrugs, says, "I shot a bolt, but is disappeared under the waves. Then the whole ship flipped. I remember thinking that it felt like the sky was falling."
He settles into story-telling now, a wry smile gracing his face. "I woke up to a broken arm and the sun shining on my face. They'd flipped the ship back while I was out. This one kept visiting me, and helped me get back to shore despite my arm, so when I recovered, I figured that I'd follow her."
