As the odd liquid remains in her finger, it slowly brightens. It turns gentle shades of amber and orange, glinting with soft sparkles and illuminating her in soft, warm hues.

Suddenly, the entire lake lights up in gold and orange. Except for the center where the liquid flows in, which now seems even darker in comparison.

A sleek, ferretlike shape bursts from the surface. The water around it shifts, swirling around it like a long, silken dress. After a few short moments, six glinting white eyes appear on the edge of the gigantic creature, staring down at her.

The creature, thicker than Rose's whole body and whose eyes are the size of her wings, leans down. Two pairs of long, somewhat humanoid arms stretch out from its torso, propping the massive creature above the water's surface as it stretches down until they're at eye-level.

The path behind her has vanished, as has the grass. The ground is also now sloped, slanted downwards towards the beast, which it wasn't before.
