If you don't mind... A strong voice, that of a wolf, replied. I could translate. His species is a quiet one, and what you call talking doesn't come naturally or easily.

I'm not allowed to see the captain, Fisher answers, the old wolf is worried that if the crew knows we'll ruff the captain up a little and that'll hurt him.

Makes sense, Fisher keeps hovering, sorry about the precaution but the last wolf I came in contact with tried to eat me and that was Kai.
