Zale let them plummet to the ground. He did open his wings so it wouldn't be to hard of a fall.

He immediately rushes to Zale's aid, not knowing it was on purpose as he begins to fret over Zale, nudging him and sniffing him to see if he was hurt. He was snarling desperately, thinking it was his fault Zale fell.
