They were almost near enough now to see their drivers. Alex shot again and missed as one of the vehicles swerved to the side; tracking it, he got it as it moved. One of its windows burst into pieces, confetti on fire with the sun.

She stays down.

Suddenly the remaining three vehicles were on them, they had the truck surrounded. Kinda. Alex started to fire again, and then ducked as one of the people got out and threw something at his head. The others were just behind. Alex could never fight this many up close.

They were going to kill him.

She tries to find a weapon while staying down the whole time.

There's a pistol in the glovebox and a knife in there as well.

She grabs both.

They rushed Alex

He flinches, expecting one of their assaulters to have the gun, not her.
