(Okay, So, son and siblings are both on the table, but I can't make any more reliable narrowing down based on the limited information I have right now. I have nothing else on appearance, skills, or personality to go off of.

EDIT: Okay, I seriously can't believe I missed it, but in the heat of the moment I totally skimmed over the wolf refering to Douglas as "fathter" when telling Kal who's in danger ("..father, your friend and father...") So, yeah. His son.

Kai runs in front of him and leads them to Haken, Douglas, and Selkie.

(Selkie weighs a hundred pounds? The three male teens in the main series are Sonic, Knuckles, and Espio. Sonic weighs 77lb, Knuckles 88lb, Espio a bit less than 80lb, so average those together, subtract that from a hundred, and Selkie weighs about 19 pounds more than the average male Mobian teenager.

The two parties eventually met up, and the first thing Haken noticed was Kaladin's flustered expression. "Are you three okay?? What happened to Selkie?"

"He was shot by a pirate," Douglas answers, "after he was about killed by Black Beard."
Kai looks up toward Selkie and tries to nudge him.
"No Kai the arrow is in his shoulder and the other is broken badly," Douglas told her.

(Think an otter is a little bigger plus Selkie's all muscle and a seafarer no less.)

(In terms of otters, Selkie's species is massive, with adult males weighing anywhere from 49-99lbs. The largest species of my 'control group' would be the echidna, with the species I assume Knuckles to be weighs about (pfft) 7.7lbs. European hedgehogs are second and weigh 1.7lbs, and Parson's Chameleons are close behind, weighing 1.5lbs. These two weigh much less than echidnas, but all of our Mobians weigh more or less the same (88lbs, 77lbs, and 80lbs)
