Locke opened his mouth to respond, when he heard a cry over head. He smiled before responding. "It's handled fer now, Chief."

"Thank goodness now we can resume the search," Douglas spoke.



I don't know, Kai whines, you try to tracking him in unfamiliar conditions.

"Wait; I'll check around." Kaladin told her before scouting around the clearing.

Locke dipped his head and split off. "He couldn't jis vanish; Had ta be close."

Douglas nods once in agreement, "What if Selkie was hurt by the pirate?"



Kai sat down and stayed where she was.

"Then he definately must be close." Locke answered, then groaned. "Then again, he's also 'Ah'm-jis-fine' Selkie."

Kaladin scoured the area, then abruptly froze near some tampered with foliage. "Kai... we need to leave." He muttered.

Let's go then, Kai took off at a run.


"So he probally will keep going until he can't," Douglas finished.

Locke folded his arms. "Aye. Exactly."

Kaladin ran along side her.

Kai ran as fast as her bad leg would allow until she trips in a hole in the ground. With a yelp she gets back up and can't put any wieght on her back left leg.


"We need more help," Douglas thought back, "keep searching I'm going back to the village to ask for help."
