Caspian and the guards stood in the room, whispering intently to each other as they made their way up the stairs. He holds up a hand, catching his mother in his arms and hugging her. "Go to the car, get in quickly." He whispers, sending her on her way with the guards. He then catches Nick in his arms, hugging him tightly.

Nick buries his head in Caspian's shoulder. "Oh thank goodness you're alive," he muttered, holding the prince tightly

He chuckles, taking Nick to the car behind the one his mother got in. "Yes, thank goodness I'm alive." He laughs.

Nick gives the prince a quick kiss before getting into the car. "Me and your mom were worried sick about you and the king."

"She was testing you, she knew we were fine. She wanted to make sure you were a worthy mate." He mutters, chuckling and hugging him. "I despise her tests."

"Wait, hold on. She was just testing me? Wait, just hold on for a second." He was having trouble wrapping his head around this. "So your mom approves of me?"
