Val shook out her fur leaving it looking clean and quite fluffy, Kit smiled and kissed her daughter on the forehead.

Sonic leaned against a pillar. "So, Kit, you have some explaining to do."

Kit folded her arms, "So do you, why didn't you visit?"

"After Knux disappeared, I--"

Shadow cut him off. "He fell into a state of deep depression that lasted months, blaming himself for his death and saying that he was supposed to take that blow, until he found discovered Knuckles in this form (But that's a story for another time). Blue Boy stayed up here for a long time much to the Guardian's dismay, and eventaully I got a lead on Knuckles' M.I.A. case and found out what happened. I swore I wouldn't take word to G.U.N about it. Later down the line, Knuckles' all-powerful sense--"

"Led us to an unknown threat. Lately, we've been looking for... trustworthy assets."

Kit looked down, "I'm sorry, I didn't know, and Shadow you didn't need to explain for Sonic." she said with a glare at the black hedgehog. Val looked down, Kit looked at Sonic, "As for me, I've been living with my brothers and mom, I've been working in the garage and such." she explained.

Val looked at Shadow, "Why did you think that Holt and I were trustworthy?" she asked with a small bit of regret for asking.

Sonic grinned sheepishly. "Naw. He's okay. We would've been here all day if I explained it..."

Shadow shrugged. "I had a hunch."

Kit gave a small smile, Val looked at the ground, she wasn't exactly one to trust with how long she lived on the streets and lied to live.

Well, Shadow, why don't you get 'em something to eat? Red suggested.

Val curled up and her fur stiffened up a little, Kit sighed, she had gone through the same thing as her daughter.

The black hedgehog nodded and skated off, and Sonic leaned on a pillar.
