You wake up in Veslon around mid-day as your backpack slides off the shelf and onto your head. You'd been sleeping in the wooden loft in your house, which was particularly roomy and had everything you needed. Recently, you'd got fed up of the leak in the roof, as you flicked another waterdrop off you ear you knew it must have rained only a little bit last night.
Holly rubbed her head as she stood up putting her back pack on her shoulder today was the day she was setting out on her own. with a yawn she looked around her room to see if there was anything she forgot to pack

There are several books around the room, however you don't think any would come in use. You'd already memoried everything they said about elements. (On ipad will be typos warning)

Drew looked over and narrowed his eyes into the crowd. You were accidentally pushed backwards by some large guy and he didn't see you. Not about to see any partings, he knew no one must be near fire. he immediately presumed it was a fake. He was ready to completely annihilate Josh.
I clutch my sword, trying to relax my grip but not very successful.
"Maybe I was wrong" I snarl. "Some hybrids are cared for, some hybrids, a small percentage, have good friends. As for me, I have to do everything for myself" I growl.

The crowd cheers. Within a few minutes the fight was over. Drew had defeated Josh like he would play with a dog. He pointed his sword at Josh's throat and whispered quietly so only Josh could hear, "never, ever suggest no one here cares about Zora."
"Thank you for proving me wrong. It is good to know at least one hybrid has a good friend" I say in an equally quiet voice. I close stare up at him, he can kill me if he wants.

You decide not to say goodbye to your parents and head out. You knew the Veslon streets by heart and the shortcuts to the library, marketplace, inn, blacksmith and anything else you can name. You'd never been allowed to venture out of the city before.
