He chuckles darkly, suddenly frowning. "No." He mutters, looking back out the window. "If you get hurt because of me... I'll never be able to forgive myself, I wouldn't be able to fight because I'd be too worried about you. I'd be able to protect the castle if I knew you were safe along with my mother. Please, don't fight me on this. I just need you to be safe, the minute it's over I'll go to you." He states, not looking at Nick.

Nicholas's jaw clenched as he thought over Caspians words. "And what if you die and you never come back for me or your mom? What then? Or what if both you and your dad die? Huh?"

"My mother would be in excruciating pain since my father is her mate, once he is gone so is she. Same goes for you, you wouldn't be able to stand the pain of the mate bond breaking, it'd finish you off." He states, flinching.

Lilith was asleep holding piper

He sighs, kissing Nick's temple. "I'm sorry, my love. I just can't bear to see you hurt or else... I may lose control of my Lycan." He sighs, memories flashing before his eyes that make him flinch.

Piper snuggled into Lilith

Nick sighed. "Okay...be safe. For me." Nick looked out the window, not really liking the idea of Caspian going into battle

Lilith held her closer

Piper smiled gently, glad for Lilith's comfort
