A couple knocks sounded from outside Douglas' room.

Douglas opens his door, "Bring him in and tell me what happened."

Collin walked in, easing Night onto a chair. "Well, you see, I was sent to rescue Blue from the killers. This one here was guarding him, so we dueled. Then one of his own stabbed him in the back in the most literal way possible."

Douglas frowns while he treats Night, "Anything else?"

Collin shrugged. "Not as far as I know."

Kaladin trotted down the hallway, with Locke padding along behind.
"So, tha killers flew tha coop?"
"We believe so, yes."

Kai limps over to them, You ow me big for this! She drops a horseshoe at Kaladin's feet, I may or may not have gotten attacked by the assains' horses while I was trying to get them to leave!

Douglas puts pressure on the wound.
Night grits his teeth.
"Find him something to bite down on," Douglas spoke.

Kaladin sighed. "I'll figure something out. You were supposed to stay close."

Collin glanced around briefly, then picked up a small rag. "Here." He said, offering it to Night.

Night took it and placed it between his teeth.
"Now Collin hold him down I have clean the wound," Douglas held a small bottle which at the sight of Night paled, "You infection if I don't treat it."


Stay close. Stay close. How could I stay close when I got lost in the crowd, Kai asked.

Kaladin sighed again. "I'm sorry." He mumbled.

Collin nodded placed his hand on either of Night's arms.

I forgive you, Kai put her head against his leg.

Douglas pours some of the liquid on Night's wound as he struggles and protests. After a few seconds which felt like an eternity to Night Douglas recapped the bottle and bandaged the wound.
By that time Night's eyes were still bright with tears from the pain.
