"But it is the polite thing to do." He smiled holding her close as he urged the horse into a slow gallope. When they reached the woods he slowed the horse. "Just a bit further now..." as they broke through the underbrush, the sun hit them, and a flock of birds flew out over the shining lake. The waterfall roared but not loud enough to muffle their voices. "Beautiful right?"

She didnt want to let go of him. She wanted to protect him for as long as she lived. He was so pure and innocent like a child, but there was something else to. She shook her head and let go of him.

This feeling...he didn't much like it yet at the same time he didn't wish for it to leave. It made him feel mortal yes but maybe now that wasn't a bad thing. He longed for her embrace, yet knew it wasn't polite to ask.

There is a bar in a small town nearby that my dad loves. He goes there once a week. He says if I ever get separated from him, to go there and wait. she said.
