she petted her head before closing her eyes and then realizing Azrail hasnt eatin but she didnt wanna blow her cover so she decided to simply rest instead to go check on him. Luke layed down besides Yahaira yawning loudly

"G'night." Yahaira murmers, falling asleep rather quickly despite the fact that she had been wide awake moments before. With the sun down and gone, it was colder than in the day, and Yahaira was glad to have a few warm friends next to her.

Azrail was finishing the last few things before heading outside. The wounded had been tended to, fed, and comfortable, the tools were all in their places, and all was well. He combs his paws through his hair, glad to finally have some peace and quiet. There were some cicadas buzzing somewhere. Many cats were falling asleep for the night, but Azrail could see some of the guard's fires burning low so they could keep watch. When he passed by them, he signs them a thanks and a few smile and sign your welcome back. Azrail heads to his den, thinking he would just call it a night and go to bed. He would have to be ready for tomorrow.

Vania couldnt sleep minding the fact that shes been wide awake all day now she has something on her mind and grunted flipping yahaira onto luke softly getting up and walking out into the night, she breathed lightly and watching every part of her surroundings still on edge from earlier. She found a rock far from the den looking off into the distance as she stopped paying attention to her surroundings

luke fell asleep fast snoring lightly

Yahaira grunts softly as she gets shoved into Luke, but she adjusts and cuddles Luke like a child may do to a favorite stuffed animal.

Azrail stops a moment to get food, not much, just leftovers from after the rest had gotten some.

she hears rustling in the leafs but doesnt think much of it since she thought it was one of her friends waking up from there slumber to come and chat

Yahaira was still in the den, most definitely asleep. Only something like a clap of thunder could wake her.

Azrail hears something - or someone - and so he turns to the noise, nibbling on his piece of food.

She smelled a familiar scent but it wasnt one of her friends she looked around and didnt see anything but the smell confused her, after a moment she heard some more movement coming from the back of her but before she could turn around something tackled her into the long grass scratching at her throat. She felt warm blood coming from her neck and her mouth. She clawed at the animal who dug there claws in her chest sending a sharp pain threw her body letting out a loud roar before the figure dashed away into the darkness. She rolled up into a ball blacking out a few moments after the attack.

Azrail heard that road and went bolting to it, knowing a cry of pain when he heard one and wanting to help. He had dropped his food somewhere on his journey and he comes to a stop next to Vania. "Oh no." He muttered to himself, kneeling next to her and checking her pulse before applying pressure to the worst of the wounds. His mind was reeling and on the inside somewhere buried deep down he was just super bummed that work didn't end when night came.
"Hey! What'd you do?" A guard asks, coming closer, torch illuminating the scene in front of her. Of course, she instantly thought the worst and that Azrail had hurt Vania. "Get away from her know! Daivat, get Heka." Her make companion nods and runs off to get the healer. "Now you, I said move. Now, before I decide my patience runs out and I attack." Her weapon did look very dangerous. Azrail tries to explain through sign language as he backs away, but the guard wouldn't have any of it.
"Traitor. Coward." The guard hisses before launching herself at him. Azrail squeaks and backs up, tripping over his feet. The guard slams her weapon down, and Azrail brings his arms up to protect his face. With a snap, his forearm broke. Azrail scrambled backward to his feet and takes off in a random direction, fear propelling him forward. He held his injured arm to his chest as he runs away, as far and fast as he could.
That hadn't turned out how he had hoped.

Yahaira stirs, hearing the roar and subconsciously understanding that something was wrong. She groans and lifts her head, looking around to see if there was any immediate danger.

Luke woke up looking at the empty spot were Vania was laying and back to the commotion up ahead he looked at yahaira "weres vania?!" he asked worried for the worse He couldnt really see minding the fact that the distance between them was far but seeing azrail running made him put the pieces together

vania opend her eyes a little seeing the gaurd attack Azrail she wanted to help she tried to yell out stop but it only came out as a faint wisper whimpering before blacking out again

"SHh. You'll be fine." The guard says to Vania. Heka and the other guard came over, Heka immediately assessing the situation and getting to work, bringing Vania to the healing den and helping stitch her up, using different healing techniques when it was needed.

"If a cheetah hurt her Imma kill them all." Yahaira mutters sleepily, still only half awake. She tries to keep her eyes open but keeps failing. "Ugh. I guess I'll have to kill them tomorrow." She says, sounding rather disappointed that she had to wait that long.
