The new person running the counter nodded and got her a whiskey, but this person.. whom wasn't one of the normal staff, had laced the drink. Not that anyone would notice..

Edaline didn't look twice at the person offering her the drink, especially in her drunken state. She took a swig and licked her lips. She felt fine until she started coughing. The cough turned into a wheeze and she clutched her stomach in pain.

Edaline couldn't utter any words but frantically pointed at the whiskey with wide eyes as she the pain intensified. She fell off the bar stool and started seizing and foaming at the mouth.
