He nodded. "Do you know what grade she was in?"

"No." He sighed, rubbing his face. "But I'd have to say she's most likely a sophomore. Maybe a senior. Definitely not a freshman, because I've seen her before."

He nodded. "Okay..."

He sighed as the hospital appeared in view. "I hope Lani's alright."

"Youre not the only one," Maveric said.

Lani wasn't fully conscious yet, but she could hear the steady beep...beep...beep... of the moniter

"Okay let's go." He parked the car and got out, Nicole following his lead.

He got out and led the way to the hospital. He was really nervous

"She'll be fine." Nicole said, trying her best to comfort the two of them.

"I sure hope so, " Maveric said, biting his lip. It was a problem both siblings had. They had learned it from their mom. He got in the hospital and talked to the receptionist. She told them they would have to wait a couple minutes since they had just admitted her. She gave them a visitors pass anyway, though and told them her room number

"Alright we'll wait here, alright?" Nicole sat down in one of the chairs in the receptionist area. Plenty of other people were sitting around, all worried expressions mirroring their own.
