Well that had been nice while it lasted. Sighing he climbed in the back of the car. "Were you two out here to look at the lights? I love to drive this way to look at them. It's a great way to get to get into the Christmas spirit!" She said turning the car around to go to the other side of town. "Got any plans for the holidays?" She asked to the both of them.

Alec gave a slight nod in response to the driver as he climbed in alongside Gale. "I find it especially amazing that the glow during the day as well," he said, pride trimming his voice. He looked at Gale for a moment.... or maybe longer. He might've been staring, and when he caught himself doing so, he turned pink and quickly turned to look out the window. "Um.... nothing much, really," he said in response to the question, which he had very nearly missed.

"Not really ma'am, just spending some quality time together is all." Gale smiled as he looked out the window. The town flew by. First the mall then the cafe, and so on as they passed all the stores.
"Aw! Let me just say you two make an adorable couple." The woman giggled as she turned into the driveway of the small wood cabin looking home. "Well this is it! Have a merry Christmas!"

Alec was staring out the window as the town went by. His eyes were wide as he saw how much everything had changed since he was there last. He looked back at Gale as he was talking to their driver. He blushed deeply when she called them an adorable couple. He opened his mouth to correct her, but closed it again, deciding not to debate. He looked at the wood cabin looking house and immediately liked the look of it. "Merry Christmas!" He declared as he climbed out of the car and looked around. "Nice place, Gale."

"Thanks." Gale smiled as he passed the woman a twenty. "Merry Christmas and have a safe holidays." He said to her as he exited the car. "Really?" He said looking at the house. It just looked like a pile of sticks to him. "It's a bit rough around the edges." He said making his way to the door and unlocking it. "Make yourself at home. What's mine is yours." He said. The room was barren other than a table, a couch, and a tv. And it was freezing. "Sorry for the mess I wasn't planning on having anyone over. Just have a seat I'll be back with those clothes in a minute." With that he made his was towards the only other door in the small home. As he opened it a light shone through to the darkened living room. He honestly didn't have the money to heat the whole house at the moment so he only heated the bedroom and bathroom. With a sigh he went to the closet. "Now where is that box?"

Alec was hugging himself and shivering as he sank into the couch. He looked around and started to think that Gale should start demanding more money on those odd jobs he said he took. He was glad some light spilled into the room, so he didn't have to feel like he was going blind. He shifted slightly as he waited, hands shoved into his armpits as he shivered. He finally grew tired of freezing his butt off in the living room and called out to Gale. "Where's your heater? Is freezing in here!" He started looking around in the limited light, searching for the one thing that could help thaw his bones. "I wanted to thaw out, not become even more of a popsicle!"

"There um isn't one in the living room. If you're that cold come on in here it's warmer though not much." Gale said digging the box of 'donation' clothes out of the closet and put it on the bed. "Hey did you need a shower? The bathroom and the water should be plenty warm if you do. I'll shower after you get done."

Alec quickly accepted the offer and practically ran into the room. He gave a nod to the shower question. "How do you live here?" He asked rhetorically. "Also, where is your bathroom?"

"It's not like this all the time." Gale smile. "And the bathroom is through that door just there. Towels are in the dryer. I'll have to go get them from the other end of the house but you can go ahead and get the water heating up." He said setting the box of clothes in the bed. "And while your at it you can try these on."

With a nod, the elf walked into the bathroom and turned on the light. He went over to the bathtub/shower and reached in to turn on the water. Satisfied with it being run, he went back to the box and dug around in the box for warmer, modern clothes. He pulled out some promising items and went into the bathroom again to try them on.
