"Freaks? But isn't he the same? So why are we freaks and he isn't!" Raven was very curious towards this topic. It made no sense.

"The other groups have 5-9 people. Your group is the smallest I have seen yet." Yang nodded as the president spoke, listening to every word. When Yang joined, she knew that her group would be the smallest. It was the last time they were recruiting. "How many other groups are there?" Yang asked slowly. The president smiled, Yang finally spoke. "There were about 75 groups that left months ago. Some of them went feral, living off our supplies, but the others have either died or are still searching. You must keep each other safe."

"I have no idea." Garrett looked at his dark purple hand, they were all freaks. Every single one of them. The thing did this to them, and it had to pay. Yang would make it pay.

Raven looked over at Garrett. "Are you okay? You look... angry." Raven knew many people hated what the world had become but apart from the deaths, Raven liked her power but she dreaded the days that people would hunt them.

"Yeah. I'm fine." Garrett didn't go deeper into his thoughts as he walked, and hoped they wouldn't ask him about it.

Raven decided to ignore it, only saying "Okay..." She thought it not best to pry.

As Garrett was limping, he noticed a dry line across the road. "Stop." He said quickly. He teleported over the line, then threw a small rock on it. The line exploded, throwing Garrett back a few yards. He hit the ground, his head hitting on a rock, and blacked out.

"Agh!" Raven attempted to run from the explosion but failed miserably. She was caught in the explosion and screamed in pain. Logan barely managed to escape and rushed towards the two, picking Raven up and setting her down beside Garrett. First, he tended to Garrett's head. He turned Garrett onto his back and he took a strip of cloth from his shirt and poured water on it, gently pressing it on Garrett's head and left it there. Then he went to treat Raven.

Time: 3:47 pm.

Garrett moaned absentmindedly. His head was stinging like crazy and his knee was burning again. He tried to open his eyes but couldn't. He suddenly remembered what happened. An explosion. Someone must have planned it to go off if you step on it. Some one must be nearby.

Logan placed another wet strip of cloth on Raven's face. He wanted to prevent any scaring. Then he heard Garret stir and turned his attention to Garrett. A moan came from Garrett's mouth, almost as if he was trying to warn Logan. "What is it?" Logan asked, "I've treated your wounds, so that should be fine."
