"It's none of your business!" Shouted Thorn, but Fluffers silenced him with a look.

"We came in search of answers as to what has happened to us" Replied Fluffers, "You see, we weren't always transparent like this."

Thorn grumbled something about not being able to trust the sylesties, but Fluffers ignored him.

Rina stood alone in the forest. She had just left her town, and was trying to decide what direction to travel in. She took a moment, then started walking. Rina had left all of her belongings behind. She didn't care about them. With her family dead, Rina wishes to become a warrior, and to protect others, but she couldn't do it there, in that town where everyone hated her. She had to find somewhere else. She had to find people she could protect.

As Rina traveled, she thought about how she would introduce herself once she found a town or city.

Maybe.. "I'm Rina, and I want to join your army" But what if they didn't have an army? How about "I am Rina, and I wish to be a warrior!" Better... but not good enough. How about, "My name is Rina, and I wish to be a protector of the innocent. Will you help me?" Perfect! No one could refuse her with an introduction like that.

Alala walked to the elevator, and this time they went to the floor B1. The annoying music continued until the doors opened. "I don't know why the computer scientists don't fix that," Alala said as she exited the elevator. The room they were in now was filled with bookshelves filled with technical reading, reference, and results of experiments and lit with automatic lights. A few metal cabinets were inlaid into the wall for holding miscellaneous objects. The room was once again empty, and Alala's ears folded downward. Raising a nose to the air, the last living smells were at least a few days old. Her claws clicked against the tile as she walked to a large, neat desk with a bright pink paper on it. Alala skimmed the page and sighed.
"They left to study out in the field and took some of my guards with them. Of course, they're allowed to do so, but it bothers me that the lead scientist wouldn't tell me first." She turned and gestured Vilas over with her tail. "I can still have you sign your papers. I'm sure they'll be delighted to have a new member of the team when they get back. They usually had a big nerdy party..."

(If you ever need some like, temporary characters, I'd be happy to design them. That's really random, but it's because I keep making designs that I want to make into characters, but I don't want to fill my third slot, and I have more than one that I want to be a character.)

"Big party? I'm actually glad they're not here right now, then..." Vilas said, relieved. She waited for Alala to give her the papers, and filled them out. "So, um, any idea what I should do until they get back?" Vilas knew little about science or the things it involved, but she was eager to learn and figure things out.

Zerial didn't know why all the scientists went, but wasn't going to question it. Instead, he looked around the room, glancing into any crevices that happen to exist. He wasn't really sure what to do while Vilas took care of her job situation, but he also didn't want to leave just in case she needed him for something.

"Well, I'd start by getting a good base for all the knowledge you're going to learn... you could read up on poltergeists, ghosts, the disease, magic circles, magic spells, magic powers, even the history of the island before it all started. All that knowledge is contained in these articles, papers, and books in this room, and public copies are in the library. And that goes for you, too, Zerial. You're a ghost, and it would be good to learn how your own new body works." Alala explained. She paused, seemingly debating over something. "And...that poltergeist. One part of me wants to tell you to study him vigorously until the scientists come back to help you. The other wants me to tell you not to even step foot on that floor and treat the poltergeist like you would a ticking timebomb." The Lupora sighed. "How about this? If you want to study him, swing by the guard tower and take a guard with you into the corridor. If not, I'll understand."

(You could use some temporary characters as guards ;3 I also might change the character limit to 4...I've been itching for a new character, too.)

(Yay! :D Going to bed after this one. Had a friend over today celebrating Valentine's the way we usually do. Feasting on candy and playing videogames, and I'm pretty tired after that. Also I don't really know what to write for Zerial reading, so correct me if stuff is wrong and I'll fix it.)

Zerial spoke before Vilas even took a breath, saying, "I'll go read up on stuff. Vilas has always learned better by first-hand experience." With a small smile, the Luffox searched around until he found a paper with a recent date titled 'Ghost Research; up-to-date' and began reading. What he read sort of made sense, but some of the phrasing and word choices weren't things he understood. Overall what he learned from that paper was that ghosts, while not physical beings, are tangible to the living. However, they are not tangible to the environment unless they focus. The only certain reason for the ghosts and poltergeists alike is the disease, and the existence of souls. Why the disease is causing their to appear is unknown.

Vlas nodded in agreement to Zerial's statement about her, and left to find a guard. It didn't take her long once she reached the guard tower. A dark blue Nytekrie with gold eyes and markings offered to go with her, saying "I'd like to know about this poltergeist, too, ya know. So, if you'll tell me some stuff you learn when you're done, lead the way to his cell." It wasn't long before the two reached the hall where the poltergeist was being held. "Um, thank you for assisting me, I'll try not to be too long." Vilas said, her voice very quiet. The Nyterkrie nodded and stood next to the door after Vilas went inside. With a small breath, she spoke, "Hello... I'm, um.. I'm here to... Well, I'm not really sure how to say it... Research you? Oh, that makes you sound like an object... Hm. Learn about you? Yes, that's what I'm here for." Her voice was shaky and soft, out of both shyness and fear. She took a few deep breaths to calm herself before continuing, "My name is Vilas. I would apologize about what happened earlier, but, well... From what I know about the current situation, it's not really my place to do so. Would you tell me your name?"

(Nervous rambling is a thing Vilas does apparently... Here's the Nytekrie guard: His name is Klik.

"You have come to the right place then friends." Finian said standing all the way up now. He looked the two over again. "Come then, lets get you two to the city. I'm sure that there is someone awake that can be of help to us on this problem." With this he turned from them. "This way then."

From the side lines of the forest he watched with ghostly blue eyes. Hewie had been following the puffadores for as long as he could remember, since he had been in the town. They had found his though had not seen him thus never knew he was there. Now they were near the city. He wanted to call for their help like the others had though he was unsure if the puffadore would be willing to help a ghost.

Thorn watched as Fluffers followed the puffadores ( and Lunemara) into the city. He wasn't sure what he should do. The puffadores seemed friendly, but he didn't want to take a chance. However... Fluffers seemed set on this, and he was kind of curious about what had happened to them.

"Are you coming?" Fluffers called back to him. Thorn gave a quick nod, and followed.

Rina settled down. It was getting dark, so she gathered up some leaves and settled down to sleep. She couldn't seemed to close her eyes, so she thought about her future. Of course she would probably have to train to be a guard. She wondered what her mentor would be like. Soon Rina drifted off to sleep.

(I'm at school on my phone, so I'll edit in character pictures later... Also, Kromma, for the purposes of this roleplay the existance of the soul has been proven scientifically.)

Merikh, panting in the circle, took a moment to catch his breath before answering Vilas. "I'm Merikh..." He stated simply, sitting on his back legs and wrapping his transparent tail around his paws. He regarded the luffox for a few moments before he remembered her from the apartments, and his ear twitched in recognition. He then reluctantly added, "What are you going to do?"

Luciana was relieved that that the puffadore had decided not to attack. She still remained on guard, however, fluttering above the group.

(I changed my previous post. Hopefully it's accurate, now?)

"I'm... Hm. I'm not sure, really. I wasn't told what to do... Maybe I should've read some of those books and papers..." Vilas was a bit annoyed with herself that she hadn't thought about what she actually needed to do, but was determined to learn something, at least. After thinking on it for a minute or so, she asked, "I guess I'll just be asking questions. Um... Well I'll start with the obvious one, what were your intentions being here in the town? Oh, and please be honest! Lying to me of all people wouldn't be very helpful to your predicament. Though I suppose it wouldn't be particularly devastating either..." The fact that Merikh didn't seem aggressive or rude made Vilas more comfortable with the situation, and so her voice didn't sound as meek as it did when she first came in.
