"Re-really? But I only just came to rest...." Anubis said thinking. "I guess I could stay, but I don't need a rank. Though in my last pack it was known that I was soon to be an Alpha. Before they all died...but I don't want to be Alpha, lest not if you don't want it....gosh that doesn't sound right." The male wolf lowered his head his ears expressing his sadness. "Even pup sitting is good for me."

Uru smiled. "Then you will be warrior. "Welcome to the pack, Warrior Anubis." she said, smiling.

"Umm... ok," Swordfern said, trotting up to Skit

"Thank you Alpha." Anubis said bowing before he turned to leave. "Let the moon light your path and watch over you." With that he left limping off towards the warrior den to rest.

As soon as Dessie woke up the next day, she and Ignotia set off due west.

"So, what are we looking for today? Oh, that's right, anything we can find in this snowy forsaken wonderland," Dessie snarked, observing the open field they currently trooped through.

"Patience, Desdemona, is a virtue. We'll find something eventually. We always manage it, right? No need to hurry, sweetheart," Ignotia said, amusement coloring his voice in response to her impatience.

Dessie stamped her paws in the snow, "You're laughing at me! Quit it!"

Ignotia chuckled, "I'm doing no such thing."

Suddenly, the hard surface of the snow broke, plunging Dessie into the softer snow beneath it. That of course sent both of them into howling laughter.

Shadow continued watching. Did she just...?

Uru walked out of her den, seeing everyone around. She smiled, watching Anubis go to his new den. "I have faith in you, Anubis." she whispered, like a spirit in the snowy wonderland she disappeared into the trees. She when to the meadow that she played in as a pup. And saw a full grown male.... laughing. She howled to her camp for anyone to come. Then howled to him. "Who are you?" she barked loudly, through the howling gust of wind. She couldn't see the pup he was laughing with, nor hear it.

Skit turned to Swordfern. "We are about to have a new alpha male, its the only reason she would act that way. She likes him already." she said softly.

'What was that all about? Why would an Alpha take in a stranger just like that, then make him a warrior?' Anubis wondered before he settles down in a empty den. At least now he wouldn't have to worry about food. He lay down closing his eyes, nearly already asleep when someone stepped on his ear.

"Canis? Canis dear where are you?" A soft voice called around the den before the seemingly blind wolf walked on. "Canis!"

"I dont mean to be rude but I don't believe that the Canis you look for is in here." He said raising him head. "I could help you look though if you wanted."

"Oh dear me! I thought this was the nursery! Oh...I seem to have taken a wrong turn somewhere. Could you just point me in the right direction?"

"I'd be more than happy too." Anubis said standing one shoulder on the she wolf's side. As he had figured she was blind, he could feel it in the way she walked, the way each footstep made a slow transition to the next.

"Your a kind gentleman." She said leaning on him as he guided her to the nursery which was only marked by the pack of playful pups that surrounded it. "I don't recognize your smell, are you new to the pack?"

"Yes, I apparently am. I'm a new warrior, names Anubis."

"Well it's very nice to meet you, Anubis. I'm Danu the pup setter. I would really love to stay and chat but sadly I must see to the pups." She said stressing the word see before laughing lightly. "I hope to get to speak with you again, and remember if you ever need anyone to show you about I would be more than happy to."

"I''ll keep that in mind, Danu. Good luck with the pups." Again the male made his way down to the warrior den this time falling asleep before his body hit the nest of pine leaves.

At her Alpha's howl, she raced to her side. She noticed the wolves and pulled her lips over her teeth. She forgot all about Anubis, the new warrior, and kept her gaze locked on the new comers

Uru stepped forward. "Stand down Althea, do not come off as a threat unless they approach us as a threat." she said, watching the male, still not seeing the female pup.
