Winter turns to Roe, "Stop it!" she says icily, glaring at the two of them, still not completely trusting Yasa, or Roe.

"Thanks!" says Kitty, happy to be complimented.

Kat: "let. Him. Go." i growl

Roe: i put my hands up and back away from Angel. "ok ok."

"Is that good?" Kitty asks Kat.

Winter sits on an old crate by the alley wall. She leans against it, glancing warily everywhere. She is tensed, ready to fight, although no one is near besides Kat, Kitty, Demon, Frostbite, Yasa, and Roe, who are all occupied.

Kat: "yes, Kitty."

Roe: "i am Roe, and this is Angel."

Kat: "nice to meet you both."

Roe: "and this is..." winter was gone. "Winter?"

Kitty smiles and drops the illusion. She picks up her cat again, and goes to stroke Demon's nose.

Winter looks back to the group at the sound of her name. I guess it might be helpful to have people who aren't trying to kill me. She stands up grudgingly, and walks over. "Winter," she says, tersely.

Natalie:
"Guys?" I say. "Can someone at least tell me what's going on? What is all this? How? Why?" I needed to know the answers. Everything I've ever learned as a fairy-tale, or fiction, had just become reality. Oh, this was just to much. "We better go back to the village," I said for the third time today. " I think we all need some rest."

Winter ignored the girl's last comment and instead answered her first question. "We've always been real. But if you had magic, I doubt you would run around showing it off and risk getting killed. We could pose a threat. We just were forced to come out of hiding today. And it seems strange that you're able to see the animals for who they really are..... What does that look like to you?" she asks, gesturing to Frostbite.

Natalie:
"Umm... A wolf?" I said. I wasn't sure what else it would look like. But, just then, it seemed different. It was sort of quick, I can't explain it. "Wait- No... It was just different," I said quickly. "It changed. I can't explain it, but it seemed... truer."

Roe: "and the horse what does he look like?"

Natalie:
I looked at the horse and I saw... a horse. But then- "Flames! It's mane and tail are flames!" I exclaimed. "But why couldn't I see them before? And can everyone else see them? Healer, can you see them?"

Healer:
"No, child," I said, grinning a bit. It must be like a fairy-tale come true to her. "I cannot see what you see."
