It launches into flight. It's an odd feeling, riding a massive fiery horse-beast with wings for front hooves, but it's not a bad feeling.

(hey, i got an idea. so i was watching a nature documentary and thought of this after seeing it. ok, so a Skullcrawlers anatomy includes weak-ish translucent skin, allowing you to see the spine and ribs of the animal.
i just watched a documentary about Draco Lizards - one of the few species of lizard that can glide! they do it with a special set of ribs that can extend out, along with skin they hold out with their hands to catch the wind. can Skullio either be born with, learn, or develop this gliding skill? itll be used alongside his moth wings. its so cool!
(Maybe he has webbing on his bird wings? A couple other arial species have that)
It eventually lands at the entrance to the city. There's a couple harpy guards standing there, under the cover of the tarp and guarding the entrance like always.
