"Pretty much." He followed her gaze. "I wonder why the demon hasn't been removed yet," he thought aloud

"Think about how long it took to remove the demon from Angel," Desta watches the horse struggle.

"Yeah, I know, but...still."

"I'm worried too okay. That and not sure I made the right choice."

"What do you mean? It was worth a try, at least. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, okay? But you tried. That's what counts."

Desta nods once holding back tears, "I just hope this works."

"You're not the only one," he said, sitting next to her to hug her. He was trying to comfort her, not entirely sure what to do with her

Desta hugs Maverick back, "I'm not normally this wak I promise this month has just been horrible." Her injured shoulder was hot.

"I never thought you were weak," Mav murmured. "Everyone has a bad day sometimes." He felt her shoulder and was a little worried but didn't express it

"Thanks," Desta whispers worriedly glancing at th horse who has stopped struggling, "Should we go check on him?"
