Electa wondered how she was going to break it to him...She sped back to the hotel

By the time they got back, Alister was semi-conscious, and able to speak and such.. just not completely there just yet.

Electa noticed that when they were back at their room, she saw Princess' pawprint...in pieces on the floor. She must have bumped the table when she went to get her gun. Alister was either going to kill her or have an emotional breakdown that lasted for the rest of his life.

It was a mixture of the two.. at first he just looked at it, seeming confused till slowly he realized what it was and then.. he started to break down, " What happened to the pawprint.. " He asked simply, his voice trembling and tears in his eyes.

(Jake is now chasing Electa and she and Alister aren't talking to each other anymore?)

"I think I might have bumped the table while in a hurry to get my gun and get to you guys and save you but I was in such a hurry that I didn't realize that I wasn't fast enough and could only save one of you..." she said all that in one breath. "I tried to save Hannah, but I missed the halo...Alister, I'm so sorry..."

( Yeah, I remember that.. but not how we decided Alister should react. I think that we decided he would be upset, run off, and then he would let Electa comfort him. )

Alister looked.. completely broken, and he fell to his knees in front of the paw print, tears flooding from his eyes.. " You.. you let her die.. " He said, his voice filled with pain and sorrow, " You.. you should of saved her, you should of made sure she lived.. and.. you broke one of the only things I have left of Princess.. "

(Yeah, I think that's what we agreed on)

She turned defensive. "I tried to save her! And you know what? I could have left you there to die alongside her, but I didn't. And we can always put the pieces together again! It's not like it was damaged that bad!"

" Some of the pieces are missing, gone, turned to dust.. it is broken, and I can't fix it.. " Alister said, standing up slowly and turning to her.. his face held the most emotion it had ever held.. and it was just sorrow.. pure sadness.. " You should of left me to die.. at least I would be with her, and princess, and not stuck with you of all people... " He meant not much harm.. but he was upset, very upset. " That pawprint was the last thing her little body touched, the last thing I had to hold of her... and you destroyed it, and you left the one person I still cared for to die.. and I try to be nice, to be kind.. and you repay me with this? "

Electa's lips curled into a scowl. "Fine! Next time I will leave you to die! I'm sure I can stop the Second Wave by myself. I don't need a filthy half angel's help."

Alister looked hurt at that statement, " I hope the angels tear you limb from limb! I can't help who my parents were, and you just hold it against me! I hope that you never, ever are with a person who really loves you because I pity the fool! " He said as he stormed out of the hotel.
