He glares at Nick's father. "Not for the people who barely took care of you, they don't deserve you, and you can't see that." He sighs, walking out and into the hallway.

Nick's dad hadn't treated him well, but that didn't matter to Nick. He was still his dad, and Nick still loved him. He took his dad's hand in his. "Dad, I know you can't hear me," he said, his voice breaking. "But I just wanted to say that I love you and I know that you..." He was going to say that 'you love me' but it wasn't true. "That it's your time to go."

Caspian listened to Nick, leaning against the wall outside and earning many curious looks from nurses.

Nick pursed his lips, a few tears escaping his glazed-over eyes. "If you would've been able to live, I would've said that I still believe in you, but..." Nick stood, unplugging the machines himself

The nurses rushed in, looking startled as he held the wires to life support. "S-sir! You can't do that!" A woman yells, earning a threatening growl from their prince. "He can do as he wishes, it is his father." He snaps, holding out his hand for Nick to take.

Nick takes the prince's hand, giving his now passed dad one last glance over his shoulder. "Alright, let's go. I don't want to be here any longer than I have to be."

He nods, growling at the nurses as he passes. He then guides Nick to an elevator, pressing the down button.

Nick looked at Caspian. "Um...I need the truth about something. Did..." Nick swallowed hard. "Did I do the right thing?"

He chuckles, "I'm not the person to ask, love. I hate your father, he treated you horribly!" He growls the last part.

"Yeah, but he was my dad all the same..."
