"Yes, you are. You barge into my mission, but on my terms. Sonic is going with you, wether you like it or not." Knuckles said firmly, using his 'Commander' voice.

Ajal wasn't the type to take orders, "No I won't I don't trust him and can't be sure I won't turn on him."
Reaper watched in amusment.

"Ajal." Knuckles said slowly, dangerously. His voice carried a light growl and the look in his eyes said he would not put up with nonsense. "I didn't ask if you would do it. I told you that you will do it. And I would never tell you to do anything that was beyond your ability."

Ajal had his ears pinned against his head, "How do you know what I am capable of and that Sonic won't turn on me?"

"Because I've known him for years, unlike you, who I've only know for a week or so." Knuckles deadpanned. "As for how I know you can do it? Because you're too stubborn no to be." He said all of this in an objective, dry tone.

"Fine." Ajal finally gave in.

Knuckles nodded firmly and turned on his heel. "Good. Now get going." He growled.

Ajal slunk away already trying to ditch Sonic.

Sonic caught this, and easliy caught up to the wolf. He didn't comment on it though.

Ajal tried many times to ditch Sonic and look for the shards solo.
