Knuckles stood up. "Speaking of... I think I should probably join them. I'll head up to Ice Cap, catch a breeze to the mainland," He muttered, turning to walk off. There was something heavy in his voice....
"What Raven?" Sonic asked.

"Shadow's raven Midnight. If she is there without Shadow he is either trapped or dead hopefully trapped." Reaper explained, "Midnight serves as Shadow's eyes."
Ajal looked at Knuckles, "Mind if I go with you?"

Knuckles grimmaced. "We should hurry then." The echidna tossed Sonic his Chaos Emerald. "I'll glide. You go ahead. Ajal, stay. Don't use the Chaos Emerald, it won't work for you. Trust me."

Ajal pinned back his ears and looked like he was about to protest but Reaper shut him up.
"He said stay you stay or you swim." Reaper threatened, "Let's go.'

Sonic handed the Emerald back to Knuckles. "No thanks, I have one. I can manage." Knckles shrugged and began to make his way to the mountains. Sonic reached out a hand to Reaper, and glanced at Ajal. "....Come on. If you wanna go, I'll take ya." He said once Knuckles was out of earshot.

Ajal looked even more hestitant to trust Sonic but knew it was his only chance to help, "Fine."
Reaper shot a glare at Sonic, "Knuckles said stay for a reason."
"I am fine."
"No you are not."
"Yes I am."
"Then try to attack me."
"I am fine not crazy."
"Then you are not fine if you refuse to take a chance."
"I am going."
"Not likely."

"Approach?" Nox looked at them again.

Cobalt started walking the length of the canyon again, still staring at the map. His long broadsword dragged across the earth. He removed it from its sheath on his side and flipped it to the one on his back.
