Kai's ears flattened against her head as she jumped in front as Kaladin glaring at the bush, Do they have yellow eyes?
A pair of yellow eyes were watching them. A dark figure held still in the undergrowth.

Kai took a step back only with her bad leg and accidently stepped on a stick; she bit her tongue to keep from crying out.

The cat sensed fear and took a step toward them her fangs bared.
Kai had a flashback about what happened last time she got this close to a big cat in the Klondike.

The panther didn't seem phased.
A faint creak could be heard as the panther ran back into the undergrowth.
An arrow landed right in front of Kai.
