I lifted up the snake, putting him gently on my shoulder. I sought out a safe place, yet I didn't wish to bother Enoch again.

You couldn't see any obvious peaceful places in the forest. However, you could feel gentle breathing on your shoulder.

I felt relieved as I could feel the breathing. Then I considered the fact that it might not be the snake. I slowly turned around.

You turned around very carefully, Gre and Ver still draped gently on your shoulder. Nothing was behind you, but you could still feel the breathing. Blood had stained a bit of your clothing on your shoulder.

I shook my head, ignoring it. Perhaps it really was Gre and Ver. I went and continued investigating for a safe place.
