A sleek, scaly face pokes out of the water. The creature gazing at them is small, maybe 2 feet in height. It's face is round, almost childlike, with two large eyes with no visible pupils. It has long fins on each side of its face, and it's hair is so glossy it nearly looks like gelatin. Along it's neck are small gills.

The fishy creature gazes at them silently. He can see a long tail swishing underneath the surface, along with a small pair of arms. Though the creature has the proportions of a child, the large lump on her chest implies strongly that she's an adult.

huh.

Two others suddenly surface alongside the first. Then three more. Kira looks legitimately scared now, and Hirea definitely looks more on edge than before.

he snarled.

More surface. Theres 17 in total, all female from the looks of it. They're all staring. It's hard not to notice the sharp claws at the ends of their hands.

neat.

One of them silently heads out of the water. Once she's on land, the long tail becomes a pair of legs, a smaller version of the fishy tail behind it. It quietly heads towards them.
