"I'm sorry to hear that. Where is he now?" He asks.

Kegans smile widens. "I dont think they are that kind of people."

Kristine shrugs. ""I couldn't care less, honestly, if he's twistin' in a hole somewhere or shoot ta death." Her eyes grew dark. "He hurt my children made one of them watch him 'work'. He was a monster." She sigh with a few tears in her voice. "Now I'm sure he is on the outside too." She laughed a little turning away wiping at her eyes. She smiled when she spotted Nathaniel talking to Jules. "Well, least one of them can have a chace at a happy endin'." She sighed turning back to Rick. "Sorry. I just can't believe Annie's gone..." She said staring ahead but not really seeing anything

She shakes her head. "I'm not a people person in the least... I don't even think I can be classified as a person. not anymore at least..." She froze right at the edge of the trees her face in the shadow of her hair.

Rick looks her in the eyes. "You may still have a chance to live a happy ending." He puts her hand in his.

Kegan turns to her, his smile dying. "You are no more monster than I, so we are both not welcomed if they choose. I will leave with you."

Kristine shook her head blushing a little. "I was talkin' 'bout Annie... She was too young." She looked down at her hand. "I guess I could stand a happy endin' though." She looked up smiling a little.

She shook her head. "No, you should stay. I've made it this far on my own no sense in dragging someone down with me." She walked a little out of the woods.

Trish had gotten her prosthetic off the bus and reassured herself that Margo, Brenda and Blaine were asleep. She walked over to the two coming out of the woods. "It's late, just grab pillows and blankets and find a good spot. We'll talk in the morning." She smiled at them and looked around with a sigh.

Kegan smiles. "Thank you very much ma'am, we are extremely greatful."

Rick smiles at her. "And I could use a happy ending." He leans closer to her. "What do you say? Will you have me?"

Trish smiled. "We all got to stick together." She pointed at the pile of blankets and pillows hanging out of the van.

She couldn't believe that they didn't even question them. She went over where the woman pointed and grabbed a blanket and walked off. She didn't know where she should go.

Kristine looks down. "I-i-i-i... I don't know." She sighed slowly taking her hand out of Rick's. "It's kinda fast don'tch think? I mean... what 'bout Carl? Or Nathaniel even? What'd they think 'bout it?" She looked him in the eye. "It's not a no it just... I rushed inta my last marriage and I don't want to hurt anyone." She looked down. "I... I just don't know right now. Maybe when everyone's safe... But now? I just ain't sure." She looked over at Nathaniel. "Please don't be mad... I just need ta think for a bit." She looked back at him. "Ya understand right?" She said her eyes a little confused looking.

Rick backs away. "i understand..." he turns away from her. "we are never going to safe you do know that right?"

Kegan grabs a blanket for him self and a pillow. "see what did i tell you?"

Kristine walked over and stepped in front of him. She put her hand on his cheek. "I didn't mean it like that." She looked down. "I meant when we get ta the city and find a safer spot where it'd be easier." She looked back up at his face. "I just don't think it'd be good for Carl ta wake up and suddenly have his father in a... whatever we're calling it." She framed his face with both her hands. "Ya get what I mean?"

She shook her head. "Still doesn't mean they won't kick me out tomorrow."

Rick nods. "Carl is a strong boy, he will understand that sometime love comes in a rough time, just look at the way he looks at Sophia, and Kat with Yasa. He will understand." Rick looks into her eyes. "I just want to live a normalish life now that everything is gone."

Kegan glares at her. "They dont seem to want us gone now, so why will they want us gone later?"

Kristine looks behind Rick at Nathaniel. "I'm sure he is but still, it's late and we're probably both tired and might not think as well as we normally would." She turns her attention back to Rick. "Believe me nothin' would make me more happy ta have anythin' that could be mistaken as a normal life, 'cause the last time I had that was in high-school. I just... I just..." She smiles a little. "I just near ran out of excuses." She slides her hands behind his neck locking her fingers together.

She shakes her head. "Because they haven't asked anything about either of us. And they'd pobably recognize one of us." She walked over to the edge of the wood and looked at the trees.
