Jason sighed and dropped to his feet,wings shaking,and followed her quickly.He shook more glass from his sleeve,the fragments wheren't small. They were fairly large and from his shoulder. He shuttered,knowing what the butler said was to be kept in mind.

His breath hung on the air. A pristine, frozen courtyard stretched before him, trees, flowers, statues, and fountains encased in the clearest ice. Great jagged crystals, some taller than his head, jutted out of the ground at random intervals, spearing into the sky. A group of fey dressed in glittering white sat on the lip of a fountain, long azure hair rippling down their backs. They saw him, snickered behind their hands and rose. The nails on their fingertips glimmered blue in the half-light. Tiaothin was nowhere to be seen.

He took a shaking step back with a wince. He looked around for a second with his eyes for her but huffed in frustration with no sight of her. 'Come one,great. I really am soft. Get my self to the point where I might as well get myself shattered fully. Hey,at least I don't have to worry about the luring due date,might as well just jump into the Graveground Caverns!' He thought to himself.

"Where do you think you're going?"


Snow swirled, stinging Jason's face and blinding him. When the blizzard receded, he was surrounded by the four fey girls who had been sitting at the fountain. Tall, elegant and beautiful, with their pale skin and shimmering cobalt hair, they hemmed him in like a pack of wolves, full frosted lips twisted into ugly sneers. "Ooh, Snowberry, you were right," one of them said, wrinkling her nose like she smelled something foul. "He does reek of a dead pig in the summer. I don't know how Mab can stand it."

"Hey!" He said indignantly. Sure,he hadn't had a chance to tend to normal necessaries to ones self but he had literally bled close to death,how do you get that stench out of your hoodie,huh?!

The tallest of the pack, a willowy fey with poison green streaked through her azure hair, regarded him with cold blue eyes and stepped close, crowding Jason.

He bared his fangs and the little Shade hissed on his shoulder,both of them spreading their wings as well the little female beast on his head,her ragged and clawed wings out wide as well,tho she was the size of a Yorkshire terrier.

She smiled at that. It was not a nice smile. "I'm just curious to see how a dragon like you gets off on speaking to Prince Ash like an equal." She sniffed, curling her lip in disgust. "If I were Mab, I would've frozen your throat shut just for looking at him." She had obviously heard some conversation between them, but when?

He flinched back. Gray clawed into his white under wings and scales. The little Shade tried to lunge but he carefully caught the little creature in his arms and held the squirming ice close. The female creature hissed,a sound of scraping ice. She shook her head as if to say she was disgusted by this lady. He spread his wings a bit more,for once purposely brandishing the claws on the end of each long joint that ran through them.

"You don't get it, do you, half-breed?" Snowberry pulled herself up, staring down her perfect nose at him. "Looking at my prince constitutes an act of war. That you actually spoke to him makes my stomach turn. You don't seem to understand that you disgust him, as well you should, with your tainted dragon blood and stench. We'll have to do something about that, won't we?"


My prince? Was she talking about Ash? Funny, because he never mentioned her.
