Alderic glanced at A'ine out of the corner of his eye as they walked. "You okay? You seem a bit tired or something." He asked her glancing over her noticing a few small scrapes on her legs. His eyesight was surprisingly good at night, which he equated to his fire abilities.

A'ine raised an eyebrow before remembering that she had banged herself up in the forest. As if on cue, she could feel the sting in her legs and arms. "Yeah... Just tripped a bit in the forest. I'm fine." She said quietly unable to hold back a genuine smile from how concerned he sounded.

Mitch chuckled. "I wouldn't expect anything less. But I still won. You will remember that I asked you first my fair lady Ember?" He asked sounding quite gentlemanly, almost Shakespearean. He loved how she was opening up more to him.

Jora shook her head a little at his joke. She blushed brightly when he put his arm back around her shoulders. "N-no... You really don't have to do that. I'm sure they'll be coming back soon... I'll asked A'ine or Ember to help me out."

Alice yawned tiredly, sending a glare back as Kanin shot an amused glance towards her. She looked around at the trees, half-expecting Chesire to randomly appear out of thin air like she so often did. Kanin focused on the ground in front of them, making sure they didn't trip, or run off on the cliff on accident.

Ember laughed. "How could I forget?" she asked. She looked out over the cliff. "Do you ever forget you can't fly in your human form?" she asked, and then mentally kicked herself for asking such a random question out of the blue.

Orion turned to look at Jora. "Alright. I'd probably end up breaking your window anyways," he said, wishing he was better at conversations.

Alderic nodded pushing his glasses back up on his nose. He focused back upon the other two walking. "So, what do you two like to do at the beginning of the day?" He asked keeping track of A'ine out of the corner of his eye. She seemed like she hurt herself a little more then she let on and he didn't really want to draw attention to it if he could help it.

A'ine flinched slightly as a small branch hit a bruise on her leg. She crossed her arms a little trying to help improve her balance.

Mitch chuckled lightly looking at the light cast on her face by the moon. "Well, I feel that I can fly in human form. It's more of a feeling then an actual physical thing." He said quietly moving his hand to go around her shoulders, pulling her against him. "I feel like I'm flying right now..." He said quietly, kicking himself for being so sappy.

Jora kept her gaze down at her legs taking in deep breaths. She sat in the silence for a few moments not wanting to stop talking to her new bestfriend. Talking to Orion made her feel good. "So... How much older is your sister?" She asked her hair falling to hide her face.

(Oh gosh, don't worry, I'm just as bad. Sorry!!!)
(Also I really hate my old writing style, and now the characters are changing with my writing style and it's weird XD)

"I have to wake Alice up before I attempt anything else. That takes about ten minutes," Kanin said with an exasperated sigh. "You're not exactly an early riser yourself," Alice shot back. "Then I have to make breakfast for both of us," Alice added. Kanin shook his head. "You like cooking though."

Ember felt her face flush. She didn't know what she was supposed to do in this situation. She didn't trust herself to say something that wasn't completely stupid. Instead she leaned into Mitch and whispered, "Me too." She couldn't mess up by repeating what he said.

Orion leaned back, tilting his head back to look a the night sky before leaning forward on his knees again. "She's three years older than me. And she never lets me forget it," he said with a laugh.

(And I suck some more. :p I do see it too. Especially with Mitch. XD He's a lot more mushy than I meant him to be. X'D Him and A'ine.)
Alderic laughed for a moment. "We are teenagers, I'm pretty sure that's the case for most of us." He said turning to walk backwards for a moment looking at the brother-sister duo. "Besides why don't you guys eat the food in the cafeteria? I know it's not the greatest but it isn't bad." He asked them wondering what it could be as he continued walking backwards lifting his arms crossing his fingers behind his head.

A'ine watched Alderic with wide eyes as he walked backwards. The terrain was rough and sloped. She was already amazed he hadn't fallen off the cliff in the first few seconds.

Mitch chuckled softly, rubbing her shoulder with his thumb. "I'm glad..." He whispered back to her.

Jora smiled ever so slightly. "Must be nice having a sister. Even if they tease you..." She said quietly, remembering how many times she had wished she had a brother or sister growing up. They would have most likely gotten the same treatment from the other kids but at least she would have had someone.

(Bump! I hope the last dregs of school are going well for you! :))

"Not for Mr. Perfect over here," Alice said, jabbing a thumb at Kanin. "It's not so much that the food is bad. It's just one more thing that's different from home," Kanin said. "Yeah, we kinda want to keep at least one thing the same, even if its's just breakfast," Alice added. She picked up a stone and leaned over the cliff (are they on the cliff? I forget shoot sorry!), dropping it. "That's a long way down. It'd be a shame if you fell Kanin," Alice said, grabbing Kanin in a headlock and pulling him towards the edge of the cliff. "Hey, gerrr uff," Kanin tried to say, his voice muffled by Alice's arm. She laughed, and shoved him away from her and the cliff. Kanin ran a finger through his mussed up hair, shaking his head and grinning slightly.

Ember looked out across the lake again. "I haven't actually flown for ages though," she said quietly. "Although somehow I think it'd be a letdown compared to this," she said, sheepishly proud of herself for something equally as sappy as Mitch's earlier comments.

"Yeah, it is. I really love her. But don't tell her I said that, she'll think I've gone soft," Orion said, laughing softly. "But from what you've told me, you sound really close to your mom," He added, looking sideways at her.

(Yep we're almost there! *cue Princess and the Frog music* Sorry I took soooo long to reply. The ending of the school year is really my only excuse.)

(Sorry.... Life's been crazy and writing has taken a back seat. :/)
(I think they are still kinda walking down the cliff... So yes? Mitch and Ember, I think, are kinda at the base of the "hill" that lead to the cliff.)
Alderic nodded with a knowing smile. "I totally understand that, the cafeteria is a lot like breakfast at my house so I enjoy going when it's nice and loud." He said chuckling at himself as he shook his head. "I really like a lot of noise around me, reminds me of home." He said letting his arms fall to his sides shrugging still walking backwards.

"Having something that reminds one of home is always great." A'ine said with a small glance up slipping slightly on a rock before catching herself. She swore she saw Alderic flinch a tad towards her when she moved suddenly. "For me, it's A'eda'n and just getting to swim in the lake." She said feeling like she should contribute more to the conversation.

Mitch chuckled slightly, his voice husky as spoke. "Oh no, my sappiness has affected you." He joked as he backed up slightly looking at her. "I am going to be responsible and get you to bed now. I don't want you to fall asleep durning class tomorrow." He said flashing her a kind, adoring smile.

Jora smiled slightly her hair still fallen over her face. "My mom has done so much for me. She was the only one in the whole village who was always with me..." She said quietly shifting slightly to rub her ankle.

(XD Nice reference! Sorry, just got a second job and a boyfriend... So life has been interesting.)

(Oh my gosh I've been gone for two months, I'm so sorry. I had really bad internet connection.)

Kanin looked over at A'ine and then down at the lake. "You are allowed to swim in the lake?" He asked. After a bit he added. "Not that it really matters anyways. Alice and I can't swim. The waters up north are far too cold for swimming." Alice looked down at the lake. "What's it like? Swimming I mean. I fell in the ocean once, and it was awful." Kanin laughed. "Well obviously, you almost drowned and then you were sick for a week."

(Okay, Ember has changed so much and I don't really remember her entire backstory so I'm kinda winging it. XD)
"I doubt I'll be able to sleep well anyway. There aren't any crickets here," she said. The loud crickets in the woods around her house had always annoyed visitors, but the familiar white noise had always helped lull her to sleep. She didn't really feel like sleeping yet either. Talking with Mitch was much more interesting.

Orion smiled. "I'm glad she was there for you," he said. Her sudden movement brought his gaze down to her ankle. "How's your ankle?" he asked, wishing her could do something more helpful than sit on a bench.

(Congrats on the job and the boyfriend!)

A'ine smiled kindly at the two. "It feels different for everyone. It's a piece of home for me, and for Alderic here, I imagine, it is fun but a bit odd, possibly cold, for his fire nature. I could teach you how to swim if you'd like." She answered a small chuckle as Alderic nodded violently before pushing his glasses back up his nose. "Yeah, any water is cold to me. Except of course hot water. That is actually quite comfortable." He joked flashing a grin at the three. They reached the bottom of the hill at this point, just the walk back to the dorms left.

(I'm in about the same situation with Mitch. However, I can now confirm the truth in them catching sappiness from each other. XD)
Mitch smiled softly, his eyes looking into her's with a kind tenderness. "Yes, the familiar white noise from home is nice. For me, the only noise there really was in the north was the waves in the summer." He said turning a beginning to slowly walk towards the dorms, holding her hand. "But the winters are so silent at night, not a sound to be heard except those of your own house." He said his expression very soft as his more poetic side took over. "It's so peaceful and a lovely sight." He added before turning to look at her again. "However, I have now found something that overtakes it in beauty." He said staring at her his eyes tender as he glassed above his glasses.

Jora glanced up at him keeping her expression neutral with a small smile. "It's okay. Just stings a bit." SHe said softly rubbing it, feeling it swell under her fingers. She tried to hide a small grimace as she touched a rather tender spot, her hand flinching away slightly.
