"when the stone was taken from the tree of life, our dad bui was suspected of aiding in its removal. or course it came out that he didn't, but by then it was too late. the tribe was torn apart by color, because our disposition makes up a big part of how we make decisions, so a lot of people of the same color agreed and broke off into their own tribe. i was the one who wanted the reds to break apart from the yellows, blues and greens. i thought they couldn't understand, thought they were too busy trying to think about things or bring back the financial prosperity that went away when the stone was taken. i thought because they weren't red they could never feel like i did she sighs, sadly. "i'm beginning to think i was wrong."

as she talks, her skin darkens noticeably, and a tear slips down her face. "annamet begged me to stay, but i didnt. we haven't been the same since"

I listen to what she said and then my eyes widen, "Who blamed your dad Bui?" I ask.

that was just his name, so i would guess our grandma" dearg shrugs, annamet refuses to speak.

"Why would your grandma blame him that doesn't make sense to me to blame a family member," I said.

"what do you mean?" dearg asks, tilting her head. "my grandma died long before this even happened"

"If your grandma die before all this then why did you say "Our grandma" then who did?" I said to them

"our other grandma" annamaet interrupts. she obviously misheard you. our other grandma was still alive, and she was not fond of bui. she was green, like our mother. she wanted either a blue or red son in law. anything but a yellow"

"So she blamed him because he is yellow," I said and threw my hands up, "That is stupid to blame someone because they are not what you wanted, you don't always get what you want in life" I said being angry.

"people change colors. i was born red, and my sister blue, but our other grandma, the one who liked our father, was born red and became yellow as she grew older" dearg explains "and my cousin was born red and became blue"

I sighed, "Okay and people change over time but family is all you got at the end of the day I think," I said sitting on a rock that I saw.
