Haran holds it up close to his eye. "Oooh, it's so refractive, it's like there's light in it."

"yeah sure," she said keeping her eyes pealed for anything strange.

Haran slides the stone into his pocket. Quietly hopping forward to match Luca's place, he looks cheerful. If you listen close enough, it sounds like a strange hum in the far distance.

"do you hear that?" she ask him

Haran tilts his head to listen. ". . .oh, that's weird." He nods. "Yeah. Sounds like a really deep hum or something. Do you wanna go to it?"

"god no," she said walking faster

"Oh, okay." Haran says. He seems happy with that decision. After a few minutes, though, the hum gets louder, retaining its low pitch.

The hum is growing louder, and now it seems to be all around you. Ahead of you, there appears to be a dull light growing. But it can't be day, the sun only just set.

Haran points to the light. "Uh, w-what is that?"

Now, the hum is even worse. You need to cover your ears, and the light ahead seems brighter.
