Amber, encouraged by the other red wolfs declaration, stepped forward. Thats quite enough, Reverse. Her voice was dead quiet, and threat slid along her voice like poison. She sprung at the large wolf, and they wrestled together, teeth and claws tearing flesh. Reverse was much bigger, though, so he crushed her down and his teeth snapped inches from her throat. She twisted and sliced her claws down the side of his muzzle just as he curled his lip up. Her claws caught under a tooth and ripped it free. Reverse jumped back with a pained howl, one of his smaller teeth lying on the ground as blood flowed from his gums. He also had nasty gashes in his shoulder and on his side. Amber had a torn ear and a wound on her throat, though not deep. She lunged again and pinned him. He let out a submissive whimper and showed his throat. She growled and snapped a good centimeter from his ear before letting him go. The others backed away from her, wide eyed. The apprentices hid behind the older warriors, looking terrified. She let out a tired sigh and glared at a retreating Reverse. She turned to Sae. Punish him before I do. She said quietly. With that she sat down, bleeding, next to Siria. You have promise. She said simply to the other red wolf. Reverse sat quietly, head bent. He was bleeding and humiliated. His look was now defeated, not smug. Some of his fellow hunters avoided looking at him as they headed back, while some stayed to find out what the proud hunters punishment was.

(Imma say the Alpha was injured for a while, sorry I was gone for a long time rip.)

A growl sounded from the Alpha's den. The dark furred wolf walked out into the clearing. The injury to his leg was mostly healed right now, there was still a visible scar that would be there for a while. There was only one permanent scar and that was on his muzzle. The alpha's tail twitched as his lips were pulled back in a snarl. The argument outside had woken him up, as the herbs he had to take made him drowsy. This didn't leave him in a good mood. "I've been gone for only a few days and none of you were able to stay in line. Saeliera is your alpha, respect her as such. As for you Reverse, I recommend you reconsider your actions before I judge them myself." Drekus snarled as he barred his teeth. The alpha looked over at Amber and dipped his head slightly, glad that someone helped his mate. It's been a while since Drekus had to threaten one of his packmates, he never liked yelling at them since they never stepped this far out of line. "As punishment you can decide Saeliera. For the rest of you, you clearly see that he can't even beat a rouge. As you listened to him instead of your alpha, I don't have the words to express my disappointment."

Ambers guard went up as a new wolf entered the clearing. He seemed to be of as high standing as Saeliera. She sat silent during the wolfs speech, and when getting the small inclination of acknowledgement, she twitched her ear in response. Some of the wolves bristled at the public refusal to acknowledge an Alpha with the respect the station deserved. But to her, she wasnt ready to lower herself enough to bow to one of them. Amber felt a strange likeness to this one, as she did around Saeliera. Especially her. Saeliera had the beginning of her trust. This one, was a maybe. She looked him down with neither hostility nor friendliness. He didnt have many scars, but he was big and well muscled, definitely a fighter. He was well fed and only had a leg wound which was almost healed. Her, on the other hand, was small, covered in scars, and bleeding of several wounds to top it off. But the strange look of intelligence in her eyes deemed she was not to be underestimated. Her eyes flicked to Reverse, still bleeding and dead quiet. She turned to the crowd. Whos the healer? She barked. The lone hunter medic approached her. Do your job. She said, flicking her tail to Reverse. Shouldnt I tend to you, first? He lost. He can wait. She said, reaching towards her. The medic was rewarded with a snap near her paw. I wasnt asking. She growled, inadvertently refusing the medical attention. The medic gathered up her supplies and tended to Reverse, who sat in silence. This was the most major humiliation in his eyes. The pack looked at Amber oddly, wondering why she had taken time to get Reverse the medic. Then all eyes turned to Saeliera, to decide how he was to be punished.

The dark wolf grew curious of Amber. The rouge had some respect for him but wouldn't make herself seem lower than him or his mate. The alpha some wolves on edge because of this and shot them a glare. The loner also refused treatment until Reverse was treated, which he could see that both of them needed. This was interesting, Saeliera had focused her attention towards this particular wolf. Now it was time for her to decide his punishment, if she wouldn't he would. "What have you decided?" Drekus said, his tone gentle. It was a change from his fierce attitude from earlier.

As Drekuss voice changed, Amber bristled slightly. Her eyes narrowed dangerously and she got up and headed to her den, deciding shed hear his punishment from in her den anyways. Why? A wolfs voice stopped her steps. Why help him when you refuse help yourself? Amber stood silently for a second, then turned her head to look at the others. Because youre all the same to me. Alpha. Omega. Pup. Adult. Wolf. Or Dog. I see you all the same way. And seeing how you change, so quickly. Rebel to loyal. Bold to cowardly. The way your voices and actions change to make you what others want to see. It makes me... She turned her head away. Sick. She walked into the den, leaving the pack open jawed.

"Reverse, you will be removing rotten kills from the kill pile for the next moon. And for the rest of you, no more night hunts without approval from myself or Drekus. That is my judgement."

Yes, Alpha. Reverse said quietly. And with that he bounded away to his den, the pack sneering and making rude remarks at his retreating back. Everyone dispersed, all the wolves heading to their dens. Out of sight, Reverse slipped out a back way, barely in view of the Alphas. He began to walk, needing time to recover from his public humiliation. He stopped at a river not too far from camp, and sat down silently. He washed the blood from his mouth, and paws. Yes, he truly needed to be alone.

In her den, Amber finally drifted into troubled sleep.

The alpha looked over at his wife. He ignored the outburst from the rouge, her words wouldn't affect him while in front of his entire pack. The dark wolf looked over the area for a second before returning to his den. If they were to ever return to their former glory they needed a strong leader. Drekus was confident that he would be to one to protect his pack. Laying down, he contemplated what the rouge said. He admired her strength and bravery, that's what they needed. On the other hand she had her downsides too, the other wolves never would take kindly to a rouge helping them. Laying his head down he retired for the night.

Saeliera slipped in beside Drekus, laid down, and was immediately asleep.
