That's strange... perhaps I should search around for the cause, it's probably a grazing animal best not to spook it.

You break off some branches, find some flint and steel and somehow manage to make a small fire. You cook both fish on it and eat one portion. Soon after, you see a little nose poking out of a nearby bush, perhaps hoping for a bite to eat. What will you do?

You look around for the cause, but whatever had grazed there wasn't in the area at the moment. Going back to the grazed bits of grass, you realize that there are hoof prints in the ground. They seem to be leading... into the river? What will you do?

Place one quarter of a portion in front of the hungry animal, but not to close, just semi-close. Step back. Place another quarter a little bit farther from the bush. Step back, and hold out the rest of the portion, one half, in my hand.

I need to cross anyway so I might as well give it a shot. I try to find the safest place to cross.

The animal dashes out and snatches the first quarter of fish, dragging it back into the bush. You catch a glimpse of it- it's a young fox.

It gobbles the first quarter down, then comes back for the second one, also dragging it back to the bush. What will you do?

You find a good spot and manage to cross. However, the water was freezing and it's nearly sunset. You also notice the same grass/footprints on this side of the river and assume that it's a crossing spot for a herd of horses. What will you do?

I decide to set up camp for the night out of the way so I don't disturb the herd. Wouldn't want to get trampled by a spooked horse in my sleep now would I?
