Daniel laughed lightly at the talking sheep, more as a mechanism than anything else, because he had this tme seen clear signs of deception in Kire's way of behaving. He felt like he was in front of senior Nick Murray and one of his homework lies. He excused himself to Kire and her family, and left. He was now sure something was wrong, but had no idea why she wouldn't talk to him about it. Was he looking THAT shifty ? One his way home, for once, he actually wished to get one of his dreams to point him in the good direction.

Jade came home at the same time as her mother. She was still worried, and the woman noticed it, and made an announcment that they would have pancake dinner tonight. Pancakes were one of the only things her mother didn't burn, and she always used to do some when Jade was feeling down as a kid. Jade laughed slightly, and went to do her homework as her mother started preparing the pancakes.
