Kavaratti does as the other instructs and settles on the cot. It's bit stiff, but he supposes it's to be expected.
After a few quick motions to change his position, Kavaratti settles. "What next?" he asks.

Kavaratti gives her an askew look but takes the cloth nevertheless. He brings it up to face and takes a deep breath in. His hand flutters away, and he coughs at the sour stench. He feels woozy.
"What was that?" he rasps, voice tinted with amused disgust.

(Let's go! I just wondered what would be funny, and went with that haha. Glad we're working together here.)
Ah, healers really are too difficult, Kavaratti thinks as the edge vision fades to black. He hears the woman bustling as he lets the dark swallow him and slips under induced sleep.
I hope Alexis comes out okay.

Anyway, Timeskip!)
After a while of pleasant, if fuzzy, dreams, Kavaratti woke up. He had a strange green paste on his injuries, and the arm that got hurt was in a sling.
When he looked over and saw Alexis, his heart froze for a second.
She was practically covered in the past, and had lots of wrappings all over her body, especially on her tusk injury. If Kavaratti knew about the Egyptians, then she would be very comparable to a mummy.

Omg that last scentence gave me an awesome idea.
So, were dealing with Vikings.
What if we do what the HTTYD books did and bring in other cultures and their mythical creatures, like the Romans, or Egyptians, or even the Aztecs and Greeks? Screw the natural timeline of when these civilizations lived! This would be so awesome to do after Kavaratti and Alexis tame dragons and kill the Red Death!)

Alexis is covered, her skin hardly visible under layers of medicine and bandages. It sends ice through Kavaratti's veins, assured only by the movement of the other's chest. One in, another out. Hold and repeat.
With his heart still racing from the shock of his realization, Kavaratti begins to take in his surroundings. There's the same herbal blend smeared onto his injuries as Alexis's, and his arm hangs, bandaged, by his side. His throat is dry. A sign of how long he's been out, likely. From the position of the sun, it seems to be in the early afternoon.
Luckily, there's a cup of water nearby. Kavaratti takes ahold of it and drinks it gratefully.
It soothes his voice when he calls out, "How is she?"
(Ahh, I love that idea! It sounds like a ton of fun. Who says we can't mix Vikings with the others? We're not sticking by realism anyways, given the dragons and possibility of potions. ;D)

The doctor looked over quietly. *shell live. Like all the other times.* she said. *granted, she may be in pain for a while but shell be able to function.*
Simple and to the point.
Then Alexis groaned softly, but didnt move.
